Mrs. Daniels

Caring for Her Sister

Mrs. Daniels had to move her sister in with her years back when her sister had knee surgery. The surgery did not go well, and her sister ended up having 8 different surgeries to get her knees fixed. Mrs. Daniels stayed by her sister's side taking her to the doctor and caring for her after her surgeries. “It was hard on my sister and myself. We are both widows with no children and on fixed incomes. You just have to do what you can with the little you have.”

HopeWorks was able to supply Mrs. Daniels with a new furnace and new water heater to help ease some of the financial burden they were dealing with. This fall, HopeWorks will be sending out volunteers to help with yard work and some exterior painting thus fulfilling our mandate found in James 1:27 to “help widows in their distress.”

We are not able to fix every problem our seniors face, but we can help relieve some of their immediate problems with their homes. This allows those widows we serve to live out their remaining years in their own homes in comfort and safety. Your donations make this possible. Thank you for caring and giving.

Sincerely,

Michael Kimsey
