Christine Love
Executive Director
Christine Love serves as Executive Director of HopeWorks, where she leads the organization’s Christ-centered mission to help widows and income-eligible seniors remain safely and independently in their homes through critical home repairs, compassionate care, and community partnerships. Raised by her Nana (a widow), Christine has a deeply personal heart for the women HopeWorks serves. Their strength, faith, and sacrifice helped shape her life and continue to inspire her commitment to ensuring that widows and seniors are treated with dignity, compassion, and love. A seasoned nonprofit executive, strategist, and servant leader, Christine has more than two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, social services, community development, and organizational growth. Before joining HopeWorks, she served as Executive Director of a nonprofit addiction treatment facility, where she strengthened organizational capacity and advanced services for individuals and families seeking restoration and hope. Christine holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Business Administration in Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship. She is also the founder of Lead with Love Strategy Group and a contributing author of Your Adversity Advantage. Grounded in her Christian faith, Christine is passionate about strengthening organizations, developing leaders, and serving vulnerable individuals with excellence. Outside of HopeWorks, Christine treasures life with her best friend & husband, Charles, their three children, two dogs, and their cat, who keep their home full of love, laughter, and plenty of personality.

Troy Pendergrass
Operations Coordinator
Troy Pendergrass brings decades of ministry, leadership, and community service to her work at Hope Works. A graduate of Rutgers University, Douglass College, she is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate housing resources while offering encouragement, compassion, and hope. Beyond her professional role, Troy serves alongside her husband, Boris, as co-leader of the Marriage Couples Ministry at King of Kings Worship Center, and they are founders of Love Lenses Marriage Ministry. Together, they are the authors of Seeing Your Spouse Through the Love Lenses and have devoted many years to strengthening marriages through conferences, couples' events, and pastoral counseling. An ordained Elder and devoted intercessor, Troy faithfully served in ministry at several churches, and now King of Kings Worship Center. Her heart for prayer and service continues to impact her church, community, and beyond. Troy and Boris have been married for 40 years and are the proud parents of three daughters and one son-in-law. Their enduring partnership, deep faith, and commitment to building strong marriages have encouraged countless couples and families throughout their years of ministry. Whether serving families through Hope Works or ministering to couples and communities, Troy is dedicated to helping others find hope, healing, and purpose through faith, compassion, and service.

Lisa Thomas
Intake Coordinator
Lisa Thomas serves as HopeWorks’ Intake Specialist and is often the first voice seniors and families hear when they reach out for help. With warmth, compassion, and patience, she helps each person feel heard, valued, and supported from the very first conversation. Born and raised in Clarkdale, Georgia, Lisa is the daughter of Baptist preacher Arnold Henson and Elyvan Henson, whom she lovingly describes as her best friend. She graduated from South Cobb High School and spent 39 years working in the automotive industry before answering the call to serve seniors at HopeWorks. Lisa is an active member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. She is the wife of Steve Thomas, the mother of three sons, and the proud “Mawmaw” of eight grandchildren. For Lisa, serving at HopeWorks is more than a job. It is an opportunity to care for seniors with dignity, kindness, and love.

Khristopher Bryant
Program Manager
Khris Bryant serves as Program and Operations Manager at HopeWorks, bringing more than 13 years of experience in operations leadership, project coordination, procurement, budgeting, staff development, and process improvement. Throughout his career, he has managed teams, vendors, fleets, facilities, and complex projects while developing systems that improve efficiency and strengthen service delivery. Khris’ commitment to serving seniors and widows is deeply personal. Raised by his grandmother, he was shaped by her love, wisdom, and sacrifice. Serving through HopeWorks allows him to honor her legacy by helping others feel seen, valued, and treated with dignity and compassion. Guided by his faith, Khris values his role as a husband and father above all else. Outside of HopeWorks, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, listening to ’90s R&B, collecting vinyl records, cheering on Atlanta sports teams, and tackling home improvement projects.
